I hope everyone had a chance to reflect during MLK day and/or have some opportunities for service. It’s ok if you didn’t! Plan for it for next year.
As I was getting ready to write my blog for the week, I realized I didn’t have anything too profound to blog about in Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s honor. Instead, I decided that inspiring people to have a better organized 2023 would be my way to serve friends, family, and others that follow my blog.
If you have been reading my blog from the beginning or if you know me IRL, you know I have been obsessed with bullet journals for some time. I even bought fancy pens, stencils, stickers, you name it!
I can’t believe I am writing this but 2023 is the year I gave up my bullet journal and switched to a new, more efficient way of planning my time.
It took me some time to admit that I wanted something a little less time consuming but I finally allowed myself to go with my gut. Designing and creating all the templates was fun but it took a lot of extra time. I kept telling myself it was worth it to create the exact layout that I needed but I recently found a planner that has everything just the way I want it!
I came across it by accident while buying holidays crafts at Michael’s. They were having a great holiday sale, including other art supplies also. Amidst all of this, enter the Happy Planner!
There were different sizes and colors. I was carrying so many things (bullet journal, mouse pad with daily schedule, extra pad for notes), that it made sense for me to go with the bigger size that could replace everything (the big Happy Planner). I also saw they had stickers but I felt that for my first year using this planner, I should keep it simple.
Here is what I love about this planner:
- Sturdy, hard cover and spiral bound
2. Beautiful designs inside and out
3. Vertical layout for each day of a month – a full column!
4. Space for yearly and monthly goals plus space for notes at the beginning of each month
5. Monthly columns with single dates as well as full calendar for each month with tabs
6. Space to take notes on each page
7. Fun, inspirational sayings sprinkled throughout
This is not a paid post! I have really been enjoying using this planner. It’s only been a few weeks but I am already obsessed with it! I highly recommended checking it out. I’m thinking next year I will give the stickers a try.
Show me what planners you are using! If you don’t have one, commit to start planning your time. Stay tuned for my next blog post, which will talk about how to use the planner for best results (i.e. how to plan your time!).
