I have to admit that using ChatGPT can be quite addicting! I still have not used it to write blog posts, emails, or letters but I find it quite useful for brainstorming ideas.
My last blog post was about using ChatGPT to help with every day activities.
My first try was to create a schedule for my daughter. Initially, it went really well. She was so excited and asked me to write it out for her with check boxes.
Checking off the boxes and clearing them again to get them ready for the new day was very exciting for about 2-3 days. We then moved on to resentment that she hadn’t been the one to create this schedule and we have now given up on this. So overall, this was not helpful for my child since she wanted to be the one to create her own routine.
For my next task, I decided to use it on something I wanted help with and I am happy to announce that I am delighted with the results. I have been using chatGPT to help me come up with gifts for people, which has been incredible.
I love getting just the right gift for loved ones but sometimes it is hard to brainstorm ideas. It is also hard when people ask me what I want for my birthday, which is conveniently coming up this week!
Some tips for this application:
- Create a super specific prompt – add as many descriptors of the person as well as their likes and hobbies as you can think off!
- Give price points
- Continue to narrow down as the lists appear
Best part? Once I narrowed down on the things I liked, I asked for specific brands/websites where I could purchase the recommended gifts at the price points I wanted. It is so easy to do this!
So what’s my verdict so far? I would not recommend for kids’ routine as it seems simple enough to create and it may be better to involve the children and an absolute win for brainstorming and purchasing thoughtful gifts!!
Let me know if you want to see the prompt I created for my birthday list suggestion!
