I stopped writing blog posts 3 months ago because after October 7 it felt like there was no room for anything not serious. Recipes, time-saving hacks, tips to help with your kids’ tantrums, nothing felt worth writing about.
As things near and far have continued to develop in ways that have been both shocking but unfortunately not always unexpected, I seriously considered not coming back.
December was a busy month that included work travel, family vacation, holiday parties, and back-to-back hospital service weeks. I had the chance to cross paths with old and new friends, acquaintances, and family. Many people told me how much they enjoyed reading the blog and how they have gotten recipes and ideas for themselves. They told me the blog was helpful and that they looked forward to reading it each week.
If you are one of those people that said those things to me, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for reminding me of why I started writing the blog in the first place.
Even though the world is full of sadness and hate at times, I find that it is also full of hope, of amazing stories, and of helping one another. Helping people has always been a driving force in my life and hearing from so many different people reinforced that I should get back to writing.
This blog may not solve war or any -ism out there but it is one of the small ways in which I hope I can make the world a better place than I found it when I arrived.
As the New Year starts, I have re-committed to writing blog posts about the things that help make my day a little bit easier, especially when all I want to do is hide under my blanket and sleep for a few months. My wish is that it can do the same for you.
Stay tuned for upcoming blogs with new easy and healthy recipes, new time management tips, and much more.
Please share this blog with your friends if you find it helpful, follow me on social media, and like my posts, so more people can benefit from the content.
Happy 2024! Wishing for peace and light to come soon.
